How to Create a Crypto Wallet​

Creating a crypto wallet in FxWallet is simple, even for first-time users. Follow the steps below to get started.

Step-by-Step: Create a New Wallet​

  1. Download and open the FxWallet app.
  2. On the welcome screen, tap Create Wallet.
  3. Set up your unlock method — use biometrics (Face ID / fingerprint) or set a 6-digit PIN.
  4. FxWallet will generate a mnemonic phrase (12 or 24 words). Write it down carefully on paper.
  5. Confirm your mnemonic by selecting the words in the correct order.
  6. Your wallet is now created and ready to use.

What Is a Mnemonic Phrase?​

A mnemonic phrase (also called a seed phrase or recovery phrase) is a set of 12 or 24 English words that represents your wallet's private key. It is the only way to recover your wallet if you lose access to your device.

Never share your mnemonic phrase with anyone. FxWallet will never ask for it. Store it offline — write it on paper and keep it in a safe place.

After Creating Your Wallet​

  • Back up your mnemonic phrase immediately.
  • Add tokens you want to manage.
  • Enable biometric authentication for extra security.

How to Import MetaMask Into FxWallet​

If you already have a MetaMask wallet, you can import it into FxWallet using your mnemonic phrase or private key. This allows you to manage your existing Ethereum and EVM assets directly in FxWallet.

  1. Open FxWallet and tap Import Wallet.
  2. Select Import by Mnemonic Phrase.
  3. Enter your MetaMask mnemonic phrase (12 or 24 words), separated by spaces.
  4. Tap Next and complete the setup.
  5. Your MetaMask wallet and all associated assets will appear in FxWallet.

Method 2: Import Using Private Key​

  1. Open FxWallet and tap Import Wallet.
  2. Select Import by Private Key.
  3. Enter your MetaMask private key.
  4. Tap Confirm to complete the import.

To find your MetaMask private key:

  1. Open MetaMask.
  2. Go to Account Details.
  3. Click Export Private Key.
  4. Enter your MetaMask password to reveal the key.

What Happens After Import?​

  • All tokens associated with your MetaMask address will be visible.
  • You may need to manually add some custom tokens.
  • Your wallet address remains the same — it is the same account.

Importing your MetaMask wallet into FxWallet does not remove it from MetaMask. Both apps can manage the same wallet simultaneously.
